General Care

Light: Spathiphyllum Sensation thrives in bright, indirect light but can tolerate lower light conditions. Place your Peace Lily near a window with filtered sunlight or in a room with plenty of ambient light.

Water: Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Water your Spathiphyllum when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch.

Humidity: Peace Lilies adore humidity. You should mist your plant regularly or place it on a tray filled with water and pebbles. This will help create a micro-environment of higher humidity, mimicking its native tropical habitat.

Soil: Use a well-draining, high-quality potting mix. A mix that retains moisture while allowing excess water to drain away is ideal. You can also add a bit of peat moss to enhance moisture retention.

Common Problems and How to Prevent Them

  1. Yellow Leaves: Yellow leaves can result from overwatering or exposure to direct sunlight. Ensure your Peace Lily gets appropriate light and only water when the soil dries.
  2. Brown Leaf Tips: Dry, brown leaf tips often indicate low humidity. Increase humidity around your plant with misting or a humidity tray. Trim the brown tips if they appear.
  3. Fungus Gnats: These pesky insects are attracted to overly wet soil. To prevent infestations, allow the top layer of soil to dry between waterings and avoid letting water accumulate in the saucer.
  4. Drooping Leaves: If your Peace Lily's leaves droop, it likely needs water. Give it a good drink, and it should perk up within a few hours.
